🍇 📍 Piemonte

🍷 Rich Reds

Tasting Notes

Barbera d'Asti from an esteemed historic family vineyard.

Complex, richly flavoured, full of depth and concentration. An intricate bouquet of dark fruits and spice, which opens up to layers of fresh, dried, and baked fruit tones, seasoned with spices, and delicate matured tones.

Bold and full bodied on the palate, rich in character, with an almost juicy lush texture, fine yet firmly structured well integrated tannins, and a long clean finish.

Nerd Notes

Barbera from the 'Vigna del Noce' plot in Agliano Terme, Asti - in Piemonte, italy.
The vines were planted by 1929 by the great-grandfather of the estate's current owner.

Vinification occurs through spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts, spending 40 days macerating on skins.
The wine is then aged for 5 years in 90 year old wooden barrels.

Bottled with minimal added sulphur.
