A really interesting Sangiovese, that is both elegant and dry, from the San Lorenzo of Ravenna.

A mix of classic red cherry fruits alongside more complex developed notes of earth, wood spice, pine and even a light wafting of umami somewhere in the background.

Smooth on the palate, balancing freshness and prominent integrated tannins.

A unique expression, really interesting and enjoyable.

Filippo Manetti first purchased San Lorenzo in 1998, with his first vintage being 2000. They estate is organic and most technology is avoided. Filippo is very much in the artisanal category, with as little wine making as possible.
